My lettering style has organically grown out of my illustration style. I have a bit of an obsession with quilt blocks and vintage embroidery, and you will see this inspiration woven throughout my lettering work.

From wallpaper to fabric to phone cases and beyond... I'm always dreaming up repeat patterns that will stand out. Sometimes that means dainty details and sometimes it means unique motifs you won't see everywhere. I love how pattern can bring a blank surface to life.

Illustration is at the heart of what I do. I draw most of my art digitally on a tablet, but I am very intentional about everything giving a hand sketched on paper feel. Many of my finished works started out as quick sketches in my sketchbook!

I'm an illustrator and designer living in the vibrant & historic Rose Park neighborhood of Long Beach with my husband, 2 kids, and 3 cats. I specialize in illustration, surface pattern design, and lettering. While I'm endlessly inspired by all kinds of art styles, my work pulls heavily from a love of folk art and the worn in, handmade feel of vintage motifs. The juxtaposition of old and new feels like a warm hug to me--it's simultaneously nostalgic, comforting, playful and unique--I love playing on this contrast when I create!
